On January 20, 2009 the unthinkable happened. A group of militia calling themselves the ISA (Independent States of America) successfully detonated a nuclear device in Washington, DC during the Inauguration of the new President killing all present including almost all members of Congress, Senate, and many, many, more.

With the Nations Capital destroyed including the Pentagon the Chain of command of the US was essentially wiped out. Our soldiers overseas in IRAQ, Afghanistan, and other countries quickly tried to return home but due to mass confusion and a divided military chain-of-command many were stranded and/or abanded and left to fend on their own.

For a period of about 6 months the fragment of Armed Services tried to install order and were unsuccessful with most of the soldiers aligning with their home states and a free for all on all military bases to gather up as much weapons as possible.

The acting Governor of UTAH quickly sprang into action and met with the remaining Governors, and acting Governors of most of the Western States. They aligned themselves together into what is now known as the WSA (Western States of America).

Supplies are scarce for the ISA whose capital is located in Providence, RI. The President of the ISA, Johnaton Dean II goal is to takeover the WSA and unify the country under the ISA. Unfortunately, that is the same goal shared by Jason Samuels of the WSA.

With our once great country divided and battling for control the threat of invasion by Insurgents has already been realized. The chinese have already seized control of Hawaii and the Russians have seized control of both Alaska and Florida while again using Cuba as a staging ground to warehouse troops, supplies, and nuclear weapons. To make matters worse many terror cells have begun to unleash a wave of terror unprecented in modern times killing upwards of 1 million innocent men, woman, and children through the use of chemical weapons, and dirty bombs.

In this game turn-based adventure game you play a soldier returning home from overseas. You have to choose a side and battle to survive. You can be a soldier for the WSA or the ISA. You have the power to change history and decide the fate of America.
